The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) is thrilled to announce their renewed partnership with SONAK Group, the distributor of Molten in the Philippines. This collaboration will provide essential basketballs to support youth and community basketball programs across the nation.

As part of the agreement, Molten, through SONAK, will now be the Official Ball in all SBP activities, events, and tournaments. SBP Executive Director Erika Dy renewed the four-year partnership with Ishina Buxani, Marketing Director of SONAK Group.

SONAK will provide Molten basketballs and equipment to the federation for use in all SBP-initiated local competitions and grassroots development programs such as the Coaches Commission, Referees’ Clinics, and talent identification initiatives, ensuring that aspiring athletes at all levels have access to the best equipment as they hone their skills on the court.

“The development of basketball at the grassroots level is crucial for the sport’s overall growth,” said the SBP’s Executive Director. “Our partnership with SONAK will empower our youth with essential sports equipment and inspire the next generation of basketball athletes to confidently pursue their dreams. We are poised to witness the significant positive impact this collaboration will have on our grassroots programs.. As we all know, Molten is a Global Partner of FIBA and it is important for the SBP that our grassroots talents will use the same equipment from their identification up to the elite level. Molten will be with us every step of the way.”

SONAK’s Marketing Director, Ishina Buxani, expressed excitement for the partnership as well, stating, “We believe that basketball has the power to inspire the next generation of athletes.
