The SBP was represented by President Al Panlilio and Executive Director Erika Dy. eGilas Program Director Ryan Gregorio and Institutional Support Head Anton Gonzales also witnessed the signing.

The Laus Group had President Paul Laus, Director of Operations for eSports Ian Serranilla, and Coach Nite Alparas present in the contract signing. Laus and Serranilla will be the Team Manager and Assistant Team Manager of eGilas.

“We’re elated to welcome the Laus Group to the SBP family and we’re glad to start on a great note by winning the Asian Qualifiers,” said Panlilio.
“Their expertise in the field of eSports is unquestionable not just in the Philippines but even abroad. This partnership will help eGilas grow as they will get to train against better opposition and join more tournaments with the help of the Laus Group.”

As response, Laus Group’s President expressed his appreciation to the SBP for the trust.

“eSports is an avenue that we have invested heavily in,” Laus said. “So it came naturally for us to want to partner with the SBP to support eGilas. We know that it’ll take a collective effort to be a successful program internationally and the Laus Group will do everything we can to help eGilas reach the next level. This win in the Asian Qualifiers signifies a big step.”

After their victory in the Asian level, eGilas will now ramp up their preparations as they gear up to face the world’s best on December 11 and 12, 2024 at the eFIBA Season 3 World Finals which will be held in Clark, Philippines.
