The Gilas Pilipinas Men 3×3 team started their 19th Asian Games campaign with a 13-8 victory over Jordan Monday in Hangzhou, China. 

Bryan Sajonia tallied six points while Bismarck Lina added four to lead a balanced attack from the Philippines. 

Gilas raced to an early 5-2 advantage after a bucket from Lina. They were able to maintain a lead for the majority of the contest and created further separation after Sajonia drilled a 2-pointer to make it 11-5 with roughly three minutes remaining. The Philippines played solid defense the rest of the way to secure the victory.

Justine Sanchez and John Rey Pasaol combined for three points. 

The Philippines will take on Chinese Taipei on Tuesday at 5:00 PM (Philippine time).
